Arthur snatched up his paperback, scrambling to his feet. “Watch the bloody hell where you’re goi—” He stopped mid-snarl. The other boy looked just as confused as he was— and, if he wasn’t mistaken, was just as old as he was, too. He obviously wasn’t crashing into him on purpose.
Knitting his eyebrows together, Arthur sighed heavily. He grasped the book firmly in one hand and stuck out the other towards the other boy. “I’m sorry I yelled at you, especially when we just met. I-I was just on the last page.” He looked away, trying to seem aloof. “What’s your name?”
He was slowly returning to the reality, realising he actually bumped on someone else. He looked at him, a bit still confused but forced his own body to stand up— oblivious to his anger just few seconds ago. “It’s alright” he started, dusting off the dirt from his pants followed by rubbing the slowly swelling forehead. “It was my fault to begin with for not looking…I’m Toris by the way” he said, offering him a friendly hand shake.. “and you are?”
On the other hand, Arthur had his nose buried in the last few pages of his cheap paperback. His feet automatically directed him towards the said bookstore; he, too, was looking forward to reading the sequel once he just fini-
"AAAAAaaagh!" Something slammed against his forehead. He dropped the precious paperback as he doubled back, blinded by the sting. What in the bloody name of all Heaven did he just-
Everything happened so fast. Toris didn’t managed to catch up what just happened. The sudden hard thing slammed on his forehead, the slowly increasing of pain on his skull, the electricity ran through his nervous system telling him ‘hey you dork, you just hit someone there’ feeling and the magical sparkling thing who seemed dancing around his head before his butt and the floor met.
"Ah?" Mouth agape, face in confused expression. "W-What just happened?"
Once upon a time, in a far far far away land where the narrator can’t even tell where they were actually. The Lithuanian boy who had name, Toris was currently walking on his way to the book store to buy a FHM magazine. He might be a nice and timid looking boy, but hey, there were things he needed to do while having a hard commitment to his single life. “I need to hurry now…” Because he was in hurry, he didn’t notice this another person was about meet their foreheads.
…Tea? Isn’t it a bit too hot for tea? Cold tea does sound great right now, though.
Cold milk tea…. want to have some right now?
"Hey, no need to apologize," the nation assured him. Awkwardly, the nation just sort of held his elbow gently and began walking toward the hotel destination. After a short while of walking and mumbling to herself, the two nations arrived and Taiwan headed inside. "What’s your room number? Do you have a key?"
"Ah, yes. I know my room number…it’s room 214" he said as he took his room key out from his pant’s pocket. "Thank you for showing me the way, Ms. Taiwan. I already know how to get in there. Do you want to come in first for a drink or..wait here because I’ll be really quick to get the camera if you want to stay here?"
Mm, I see!~
Well, there is no need for that anymore, yes?
O-Okay.. if you say so.. [tries to say her name three times]
This is going to be hard…
litua said: [Offers you some coffee]
You didn’t have to. [Takes it.] Thank you very much.
It’s nothing…coffee is almost part of my life. I always drink it every day to stay awake. You should drink some tea as well to balance your nervous system
"Ah, great!" the island beamed. Someone wanted to take pictures of her beautiful capital! This was a one-time chance and she was going to take it. "Do you remember what your hotel is called? Do you remember where it is?" the nation questioned as she whipped out her phone and began searching and sorting her emails, hoping to find as to where the fellow country’s hotel might be.
"Uhm.." He was not quite sure the name of the hotel because of the characters they used. He was not regretting why he didn’t picked a hotel who had an easier name for a situation like this. But he was glad he kept a paper from the said place in his wallet and took it to show it to the girl. "That’s the name of the hotel…..sorry" he said in apologetic tone. "I only know few Chinese characters.."
What’s the matter?
Is my name strange?
Ah.. no. It’s not like that. Your name is nice…it’s just.. I’m not used calling you without using ‘miss’..
"Oh, right! I’m so sorry, I completely forgot! The name’s Kathrine, but nicknames are always welcome," She grinned sheepishly at him, barely keeping from facepalming herself - honestly, to forget to introduce yourself, how stupid could she be? "And… You just suppose you’re doing fine?"
"Sort of?" replied back. He was not quite sure as well because of his hectic schedule these past months. "how do you spell your name by the way? I’ve seen it many times but it was always in different spellings.."
Why the formalities?
You may call me Anya, yes?~
U-Uhm…okay.. if you say so..Anya
I’m not yet used to this
"S’a pleasure to meet you, Toris! How do you do?" She held her hand out to shake, still smiling.
After a few seconds of hand shaking with her, he pulled his hand, placing it in his pant’s pocket. “Doing fine…I supposed?” chuckling a bit. “By the way, may I know your name?”
Ahh goodness I’ve b-been so behind on these— I hope you can forgive me! Maybe some new olive oil or late bl-blooming flowers? The seasons are winding up and winding down, respectfully and I have plenty to share-! Really, I insist.
Its lovely to see you all.
Call me Carlino.
It’s nice to see you around, Carlino.
The island was walking on the crowded streets of Taipei when she spotted a newcomer. Quickly, she headed over to the person and grinned. “Hello there! Welcome to Taipei! My name’s Taiwan. Who are you?” the personification questioned. “Ah, also, the night markets are going on! Would you like to perhaps join?”
Toris had a good sense of direction but unbelievably got lost. HE was too busy finding his way back to the hotel to get his camera while wandering around even at this hour. When suddenly his eyes spotted a girl who seemed wanted to talk to him, and he was right after he turned his head. Upon mentioning her name, country name to be exact, he knew she was one of them. “Uhm..I’m Lithuania” he responded back, scratching the side of his chin. “Id’ like to come with you..but I need to get back to the hotel first because I want to take my camera.”
litua started following you
"Oh, hello!" Kathrine smiled cheerfully at the other. "What’s up?" It was always nice to meet new people, after all, especially the ones that stayed to chat - more chances of getting friends!
He can’t help it but to smile to what he was seeing right now. The lively girl made him excited for some unknown reason yet he knew it very well he was not the type of person who can prolong a topic or conversation. “Hello. I’m Toris”
